Thora Hjorleifsdottír är en isländsk poet och romanförfattare. Hon är född 1986 och har en magisterexamen i kreativt skrivande från Islands universitet. Hennes debutroman MAGMA kom först ut 2019 på Island och har sedan dess översatts till flera språk och fått fin kritik. Hon är en del av ett kvinnligt poesikollektiv som heter Impostor Poets och tillsammans har de skrivit tre poesiböcker och senast en roman, Olía (2021) som nominerades till the Icelandic Literary Prize 2022.
Thora arbetar nu med en ny roman och kommer att använda sin residensvistelse för att fokusera på det.

Thora Hjorleifsdottir is an an Icelandic poet and novelist. She was born in 1986 and has a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Iceland.
Her debut novel MAGMA came first out in 2019 in Iceland and has since been translated to several languages and received critical acclaim. She is a part of a female poetry collective called Impostor Poets and together they have written three books of poetry and most recently a novel, Olía (2021) which was shortlisted for the Icelandic Literary Prize 2022.
Thora is currently working on a new novel and will be using her residency to focus on that.
