Region Västra Götaland supports the local tourism industry in a number of ways. Many of Västra Götaland’s cultural and other tourist attractions are either owned by or operated with the support of Region Västra Götaland.
West Sweden Tourist Board is wholly owned by Region Västra Götaland and manages issues related to the local tourism industry. Its task is to develop and promote West Sweden (Västra Götaland County) as a tourist destination.
