Social Economy
This programme’s overarching objective is to promote the social economy and its stakeholders and to strengthen its role in growth and development in Västra Götaland.
The social economy consists of activities carried out by clubs and associations, cooperatives, foundations and similar societies that are independent of the public sector, either for the common good or the benefit of their members. The social economy is important for local and regional development by virtue of its democratic foundation, identity and solidarity.
